Chabad at McGill student society (CMSS) is a student led, official SSMU club. Our groups aims to connect the McGill Jewish community with social programming, community building programming and opportunity to experience Jewish holidays and experiences.  The CMSS Board envisions, creates and implements programming such as KCC, Volunteering at the Family Store, First Year outreach, the Sukkah on campus, and so much more.

To be a candidate, you must nominate yourself by Thursday, Feb 28th at midnight EST time by filling out this form:

If you have any questions, please contact Ben Grossman, Hannah Sragovicz, Rashi Weiss or Shmuly Weiss

CMSS will be divided into a two part board structure: an Exec Board and a General Board. Every Exec Board member is responsible to attend a board meeting each week and will be responsible for overseeing a core element of CMSS while overseeing some of the committees on the general board. The General Board will attend meetings monthly and on an as needed basis together with the Executive board, and will be responsible for executing programming

The General Board will be made up of committees based on members’ interests, and that work with different members of the Exec Board to accomplish committee goals. Executives and their General Board committees are expected to communicate with each other as needed to implement programming and tasks outside of board meetings.  General Board members will also be expected to volunteer for at least 4 event shifts each semester
